  2. Levels and 'Can-do' statements
Cambridge English Exams are backed up by the 'Can Do' statements, developed by members of ALTE. The 'Can-do' system provides a description of what typical candidates at each level can be expected to do in each of the language skills and in a range of contexts, including General Abilities; Social & Tourist; Work and Study. The 'Can-do' statements make it easier for users to understand the significance of each of the levels. For more information on the statements, visit www.ALTE.org.
