“Success is how high you bounce
when you hit bottom.”

As a cadet at United States Military Academy at West Point, future U.S. Army General George S. Patton was forced to repeat his first year of classes due to his poor performance in mathematics. Patton’s eventual graduation with honors in 1909 gives insight into the meaning of this quotation. The height that one achieves after reaching a low point is the true measure of success.
