On Friday, November 21, LTTC-LI pulled out all the stops and held a Thanksgiving Holiday Fair for its students and the extended community. A lot of hard work had gone into getting ready for the event, and our half-day students did an excellent job of entertaining guests while presenting several well-known international holidays, such as Songkran, Diwali, Chuseok, St. Patrick’s Day, Oktoberfest, and Hanukkah. The students researched their holidays and made colorful exhibits and posters to explain them. Their presentations were complete with samples of tasty ethnic cuisine for the guests to eat. The LTTC itself presented the American Thanksgiving holiday and offered participants a sample of a traditional turkey meal. All in all, it was great to see a lot of new participants mingling with our current students. We would like to express our appreciation to the community for its support. Most of all, we would like to thank the excellent student presenters for truly making this our biggest, most successful event to date.
