Prof. Yasu-Hiko Tohsaku Gives Lecture on New Trends in Language Assessment

日語教學與測驗專題演講「言語能力の評価の新しい動き」(語言能力評量的新趨勢),由本中心主辦、輔仁大學跨文化研究所協辦,於2014年2月10日在台大應力館舉行。本演講特別邀請美國加州大學聖地牙哥分校(University of California, San Diego) 發展研究中心以及國際關係與太平洋研究中心語言學程主任當作靖彥(Yasu-Hiko Tohsaku)教授主講,當作教授專研第二語言習得理論、語言教學及語言評量,同時也是全球日語整合計畫J-GAP (Japanese Global Articulation Project)的發起人暨主席。

本演講以日語進行,當作教授首先說明語言學習方法以及學習目標的演變歷程;早期的學習方法仰賴聽覺,主要以文法及語彙為學習目標,接下來的時期則以溝通模式的學習方法為主,這段時期的學習目標是習得語言技能以及語言功能。而目前的學習趨勢走向社會網絡(social network),以實現個人與社會網絡連結(connect)為學習目標。

當作教授闡述教科書三大要素學習目標、學習活動和評量的關係,學習目標規範評量,而評量則規範學習活動。課堂初始揭示學習目標的同時,也應說明學習活動的評量方式以激勵學習。評量可說是學習目標與學習活動之間的橋樑。

比較傳統與新式評量的異同時,教授表示,傳統的量化式評量主要為評量學習結果,評量的信度很重要,使用上有其客觀及便利性;新式評量多元,有自我評量、同儕評量、團體評量、課堂外評量等,主要為評量學習過程,因此評量的效度很重要。傳統及新式評量,兩者並行不悖,依不同目的適切地區分使用,以提高學習成效。演講最後,教授總結表示,未來的趨勢是評量學習者的網絡連結能力,也就是評量綜合了語言能力、文化能力以及社會能力的整體能力。

演講出席踴躍,幾座無虛席,聽眾包括台北、桃園、新竹等各大學教授以及高中職日語教師,最遠來自彰化。演講結束後,教師們仍於會場熱烈交換意見,並且都感受獲益良多。
